Although the dress was not a maternity dress, the stretch sequin number gave her blooming figure the wow factor as she introduced her Project D fashion range to the world. The exclusive VIP event allowed fashion fans to pre-order the collection before it hits stores.

Dannii codesigned Project D with fashion designer Tabitha Somerset-Webb and the range includes the kind of knock-out frocks we've become used to seeing her wearing on her X Factor appearances.

Dannii said: 'To me a dress design never comes to life till it is slipped on – who knows what adventures the dresses in this collection will get up to?'

Prices range from £210 to £485 and the collection includes day dresses, shorter cocktail frocks as well as floor-skimming formal gowns.
