The runway of Hermès’ Spring/Summer 2022 show saw the physical representations of optimism and new perspectives - not only through its clothing but its landscape and fine details that often tend to be forgotten amidst the glamour.

Upon further inspection, it’s worth noting that it truly is the littlest things that make the outfits come together and function as motifs to the brand’s heritage. One clear example of this is Hermès’ use of ringed eyelets fixed to bold trench coats -  reminiscent of the maison’s relations with horse-tack.

Accessories

As tribute to its past, Hermès’ accessories - in the form of horseshoe-shaped bracelets - stood out on the wrists of the models; one look at these simple statement pieces and you’ll know they belong to the brand.

On top of that, models were spotted with dangling Eiffel Tower-structured earrings and metallic bracelets to bring a bit of edge to the otherwise cheerful collection.

Bags

Everyone is raving about this season’s Maximors bag - a small cylindrical-shaped case fixed to two sculptural metallic handles fused together. Available in a classy selection of black, white, and chestnut and fashioned out of Swift calfskin, this bag is sure to turn heads on nights out with the girls.

Our honourable mentions include the new Hermès Pochenplus - a dainty crossbody bag that’s perfect for women who wish to have their hands free at social events and the Mors De Bride - a versatile and clean-looking bag that can be worn any way you want.

Trust Hermès to give us some comfortable footwear this season - a fresh departure from all the high-heeled numbers we’ve seen at Fashion Week so far. These stylish sandals come in basic shades like black and chestnut, making them perfect for optimal pairing for casual days out. Our favourite is, of course, the open-toed number, which we can already see becoming popular among fans of the brand.
