Miss Great Britain is the oldest and most prestigious beauty contest in the UK and was first launched after the war in 1945 to dispel the post-war gloom. Now in its 65th year and under new ownership, 2010 marks the first time where both single mothers and divorcees were permitted to enter.
The finalists who were from all over the UK modelled a range of swimwear, evening dresses and their own custom made outfits.
Former Miss Great Britain (1997) and CEO of the beauty pageant, Liz Fuller commented “I’m delighted with the judges decision as I think Amy is an exceptional candidate to represent Great Britain and the new face of Powershot.”
