The week long event, which has sold out for the past four years, showcased a fabulous sneak preview of Spring fashion from a mixture of high street brands and luxury designer boutiques and featured collections from leading retailers including Miss Sixty, French Connection, Karen Millen, Oasis, Warehouse, Coast a|wear and Benetton.
The city’s best fashion and design students wowed the sell out crowds with their innovative and fresh designs in the finale shows while local designers such as Deborah K and Una Rodden and our most chic independents including designer emporium CARTER, luxury lingerie store Roxbury & McQueen and award-winning store Liberty Blue filled a sell out show of designer labels.
CastleCourt retailers such as Designers at Debenhams and Dorothy Perkins filled the Friday shows with guest hostesses Fiona Hurley and Angela McCarthy, both former Miss Northern Irelands.

FASHIONWEEK organiser
Cathy Martin said: "Wow, what a week! We are really delighted to have
such fabulous support from the public and our audience members who
seemed to love the mix of high street brands and designer names from
our local independent boutiques. Its not just about sending models up
and down a catwalk, this is serious business for the retailers and
designers that take part. And of course, we inject a huge element of
pizzazz to create fashion theatre that our audiences have come to
expect of us.”
Irish footwear designer Anita Flavin took her latest collection of shoes to the catwalk once again. Her ‘Minette’ shoes, favourites with leading ladies such Shirley McClaine, Mischa Barton, BBC presenters Christine Bleakley and Zoe Salmon, RTE’s Pamela Flood and local celebrities such as Miss Northern Ireland Melissa Patton and UTV girl Alison Fleming were worn by FASHIONWEEK models throughout all the catwalk shows.
Michael Quinn, hair stylist to the stars, was official hair partner this season creating signature styles which added that finishing touch to the catwalk. Together with Paddy McGurgan’s chic and glittering make up, the glamour team is sure to put together fantastic looks that will top off the fashion parade.
Karen Anderson, Brand Manager for West Coast Cooler, the fashionista’s favourite drink, said “The theme of this year’s FASHIONWEEK is ‘fresh fashion’ so our refreshing West Coast Cooler is a perfect match for NorthernIreland’s original style event. West Coast Cooler is the ultimate accessory for any night out with the girls and FASHIONWEEK is a great opportunity for guests to catch up with friends, enjoy a fabulous line up of fashion, all whilst sipping on a chilled West Coast Cooler.”
