There's nothing that makes us quite as giddy as the intrigue of street style fashion, particularly when it involves the Danes. The ultimate street style connoisseurs, these sartorial trailblazers seem to do no wrong. We simply need to look to the likes of Copenhagen-born Pernille Teisbaek for definitive proof. This time of year however, opens the floor to new street style talent, as Copenhagen Fashion Week takes place for 2021.

All eyes were on the Danish capital as it embraced the challenge of a fully-digital fashion week. Cult brands such as the covetable GANNI chose to present their Fall Winter 2021 offering through a four-day digital live stream musical experience. While Rotate Birger Christensen staged a multi-dimensional, video-led experience to the backdrop of a larger-than-life ROTATE sign. Regardless of the approach, there was no question that the collections left us with a miles-long wishlist; and the street style a deep yearning for a Scandi holiday.

This year, the style set that wandered the city's cobbled streets heeded the advice of their weather app and opted for warm looks with a protective, cool edge. From plaids, patterns and puffers styled in their own unique ways, to lust-worthy Prada loafers and enviable sneaker finds. Thanks to our unwelcome friend, (aka, global pandemic), not every alumni of the Copenhagen street style roster was able to make an appearance. While it meant we weren't able to draw our usual yearly inspiration in a traditional sense, it didn't stop these fashion mavens from finding unconventional ways to share what would have been their fashion week looks.

Spanning the globe from Seoul, Korea to Denmark's neighbouring countries of Norway and Holland, virtual attendees took to Instagram to share "there in spirit" moments from fashion week, and dare we say, the images are just as fabulous as they would be IRL.

Below, we've selected our favourite street style moments from Copenhagen Fashion Week 2021.
