Bizarre Beauty: Swarovski Crystal Contact Lenses

Eyes that sparkle have always been considered attractive - but is this going too far? Designed by Anthony Mallier, the contact lenses were created for the Crystal Vision competition sponsored by designboom and Swarovski. Tiny crystals were fused around the edge of a contact lense to create the look.

"Swarovski has been synonymous with adding that extra sparkle to everyday life," Mallier said. "Swarovski crystals have the power to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary through their sheer brilliance.

Sparkle is one such attempt to enhance the expression of one of our most expressive features: our eyes."
