This season, hairstyles will incorporate a variety of textures, from curly to crimped. It's all about blending evening elegance with a casual sensibility, Cutler says, and it should look like a woman could create it herself, at home.
"The beauty of fashion these days is that it really is attainable," he says. "It is quite manageable at home, with simple styling techniques and the right products."
Come fall, Cutler says, think "deconstructed glam" - brushed out, disheveled waves and curls, high ponytails, messy buns, all with a 1970s airy, matte texture.

In addition to working with fashion models, Cutler, 41, styles hair for editorial photo shoots for magazines. And he's noticed a change in fashion publications as well.
