The Columbus-based company said Shashi Batra will step in as president of its cosmetics division Jan. 22. Batra previously served as president of N.V. Perricone, the cosmetics company created by Dr. Nicholas Perricone that sells topicals and dietary supplements. He's also a founding member of fragrance and cosmetics company Sephora USA, and has worked at Estee Lauder, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's and Christian Dior.

Batra, 41, replaces former Victoria's Secret Beauty President Christine Beauchamp, who announced plans to resign in late 2007 because of changes to her role through a company restructuring. A Limited representative declined to go into specifics regarding the departure of Beauchamp, who had been with the company for five years and served as president since May 2006.

Batra will be reporting to Victoria's Secret CEO Sharen Jester Turney.

Victoria's Secret Beauty products are sold in all Victoria's Secret stores in North America and in Canadian stores for Limited's La Senza brand.

Limited Brands (NYSE:LTD) employs more than 125,000 and recorded a profit of $676 million on $10.7 billion in fiscal 2006 sales. About half of its 2006 sales came from its Victoria's Secret lines.
