Dax Cosmetics,one of the prominent producers of skin care and sun protection cosmetics in Poland, has bought six cosmetics brands from Inco-Veritas. The size of the transaction has not been disclosed. The purchased brands are: Celia, Siloe, Lavita, Bubu, Biocelia and Marvel. They are due to appear in the Dax Cosmetics portfolio in the middle of November. This action was taken in order to boost the company’s market share and expand its range of products.
The company’s plans for 2008 include the development of its
facility in Duchnow, near Warsaw. The 2,500 m² project, which includes
an office, laboratory, production hall and warehouse, will cost about
PLN 20m (€5.6m).
Dax Cosmetics doubled its turnover in the last three years, and
the last operating year (October 2006–September 2007) brought the
company revenues of PLN 47.3m (€13.1m) (37% year-on-year growth) and an
operating profit of PLN 6.5m (€1.8m).
