If there's one thing Michael Kors knows, it's New York City. Last season, the designer paid homage to the Big Apple for his 40th-anniversary collection with a show staged in the heart of the Theater District. While the fanfare of the occasion was muffled by the COVID-19 pandemic which prevented an audience from attending, his Spring/Summer 2022 collection makes up for it tenfold.
Drawing on the theme of "urban romance," Kors presented a series of timeless pieces that serve as a love letter to the city. Kendall Jenner opened the show in a chic black two-piece ensemble as singer Ariana DeBose covered jazzy numbers by Nina Simone and Nat King Cole, as well as "Somewhere (There's a Place for Us)" from the Broadway musical West Side Story.
