This year, during Australian Fashion Week Lisa Blue brand has shown a swimsuit with a print of Lakshmi, a Hindu goddess. This has caused the outrage which resulted in the burning of the Australian flag by people who belong to this religious group. The company confirmed that the swimsuit that has caused the outrage
will be removed from their spring 2011 collection and shall never be
produced or offered up for sale.
Then now in Harper’s Bazaar Spain June 2011 issue– the use of crucifixes, symbols of Christianity, as heels for shoes. Brave move for Bazaar Spain to use these designs in a Catholic country...
