With a network of over 100 stores, Sa Sa International Holdings Limited Group is the leading cosmetic retail and beauty services chain in Asia. The brand will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year. In Malaysia, the brand will turn 10 next March. 

Listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1997, the Group employs over 2,600 people in seven markets across the region, covering Hong Kong, Macau, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand.  

Sa Sa offers more than 400 brands and over 15,000 beauty products in skincare, fragrance, make-up, hair care, bodycare, health food and supplements as well as exclusive and private labels. 

The brand was established in 1978 by Eleanor Kwok and her husband Simon who started their cosmetics retail business from a 3.7sq m shop. Today, it has grown into a regional “beauty” enterprise. 

According to the Retail Asia-Pacific Top 500 rankings of KPMG and Retail Asia magazine in 2006, it is the top cosmetics retail chain in Asia. 

Sa Sa was named one of the Top Ten Favourite Brands in Hong Kong (2004/2005 and 2005/2006) by readers of Guangzhou Daily. It also won the Best Brand Enterprise Award (organised by the Hong Kong Productivity Council) and the Grand Award - Most Favourable Corporate Brands of the Nation (2007) organised by the Hong Kong Association of Chinese Travel Organisers, Sohu.com, and a group of media and professional bodies. 

The pink colour of the store represents trendy, stylish, refreshing and vibrant products and services. In Hong Kong alone, there are 55 Sa Sa stores. The first Sa Sa store in Malaysia opened in Sungei Wang Plaza in 1998.  

“This is an exciting year for us, with eight new shops opening in prominent shopping malls across the country,” says Corina Loi, general manager of Sa Sa Malaysia and vice president of Sa Sa Group.  

The latest outlet recently opened in Aeon Kinta City, Ipoh and by the end of this year, there will be 21 stores in the country.  

“We believe in constantly evolving the brand and staying relevant to our customers’ needs. We hope to achieve this by offering more product lines and attractive promotion offering,” adds Loi.  

The Sa Sa regional network includes two mega stores in Hong as well as a La Colline specialty store, an Elizabeth Arden counter and a Suisse Programme counter. 

Its e-commerce platform, Sasa.com, serves customers from over 50 countries, and offers on-line shopping services along with comprehensive product and corporate information.  

As one of the largest sole agents in cosmetics in Hong Kong, Sa Sa represents over 100 beauty brands in Asia including Elizabeth Arden, Suisse Programme, La Colline, Sasa Brand, Caudalie , Annayake and Cyber Colors as well as renowned fragrance brands such as Ferre, Trussardi, Police and Jaguar. 

The Group also operates a regional network of nine Phillip Wain health and beauty ladies’ clubs in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand and a men’s salon, Inspire, in Hong Kong.
