LOVELY lingerie is guaranteed to make you feel good and look great, but British women have been unveiled as slobs when it comes to their smalls.

Almost two-thirds only buy new knickers and bras when their old ones need replaced, with less than a third of women treating themselves to lingerie for special occasions.

Asurvey of buying habits found most women would not replace pants until they were grey and worn and even then, just pick up a budget bulkbuy while doing the weekly shop.

Only a third of women buy matching bras and knickers, with another 36 per cent content to wear pants from a cheap multi-pack.
