According to writer Alix Browne, the stunning gown didn't feature in the designer's final collection last spring, but was apparently designed for McQueen's close friend Annabelle Neilson to wear to Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball in June. While photos of Neilson wearing the piece have yet to surface, according to Browne she "appeared as the vision of an angel".
