Reprieve is a UK charity which uses the law to enforce the human rights of prisoners held in the war on terror.

The knickers initiative follows accusations by the US military authorities that the Reprieve legal team smuggled contraband underpants to a prisoner in Guantánamo Bay. Reprieve Director Clive Stafford Smith this morning delivered a pair of the knickers to Downing Street together with a letter to the Gordon Brown this morning – as a special Valentine’s Day gift - asking him to intervene in the plight of British nationals imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay.
