The latest chapter in the partnership between Louis Vuitton and the National Basketball League is here. Exploring our collective memory with panache, LV x NBA's Pre-Fall 2021 capsule traces the history of the two institutions in the 1990s, the age of gold of sporting discipline. Virgil Abloh once again demonstrates cross-sectional and unbridled creativity by intelligently merging their respective codes, in a cross-sectional tribute to pop culture, fashion, and sport. Thus the new collection celebrates both the moments of collective sharing, uniting players from various backgrounds and the values of brotherhood and universality emblematic of the house's creations.

A complete locker room reinvents the three dress codes of a basketball player; travel, match, and press conference: quilted jacket and pants enhanced with the Louis Vuitton oral motif, hoodie saturated with the LV logo with its matching shorts, technical parka completed with functional pants, informal jacket, shirt and shorts animated with multicolored graphic letters in typographies each borrowed from an NBA team. Also included are shorts with the house's logo in a college crest, suit and coat black with square lines, leather bomber jacket with graphic patterns reminiscent of legendary basketball jackets, bags embellished with the NBA badge, balloon-shaped pouches, and sports bags decorated with mesh inspired by basketball hoops. Further, a new line of bags in grain leather was specially designed to recall the texture of the iconic orange balloon, and is available in vintage versions in natural colors and in black models decorated with badges.

Select pieces in the linen were conceived with designer Don Crawley, known for his style that is both trendy and sportswear. In addition, limited edition basketballs were designed by Abloh with the greatest respect for the know-how of the workshops, and produced by Wilson Sporting Goods Co official supplier to the NBA.
