I have yet ventured into another line of mineral makeup products, this time from Lumiere Cosmetics. Reviews say that Lumiere's Veena Velvet foundation has better oil control than EDM's matte foundation, so I ordered a couple of samples to try. And since they are having free international shipping till the beginning of next year, why not?
I ordered 3 foundation samples, Light Medium Neutral, Golden and Warm, and a mini Lumi Lip gloss.
Here is a comparison photo of the different lines of MMU I have tried:
And with Lumiere I have found my perfect shade! It's Light Medium Golden.
As
can be seen from above, different companies have different shades, even
though they might be similar. So it might take a while to get a match.
(As such I have Light Medium Neutral, Alima N2, EDM Winged Butter to let go of; interested folks can email me)
The oil control is somewhat better than EDM, but I have to test it more to really tell the difference.
This
is a swatch of the gloss, English Rose. I really love this shade! It
reminds me a lot of MAC's VGV lipglass, which is out of production
already. Lumi-lip is not as sticky as MAC lipglasses. I didn't wear it
for a long time the other day, so I can't comment on the staying power,
or whether's drying.
And the mini-size is really mini; so by comparison the full-size squeeze tube is more worth it.
