Designer Achille Maramotti founded Max Mara while thinking of the "wives of notaries and doctors." Years later, the brand's Fall/Winter 2021 collection is a triomphant parade to the same message. In a setting upholstered with floating banners, creative director Ian Griffiths showcased a group of strong and determined women dressed in a perfect match between British and Italian style. The star of Max Mara this season is an empowered and independent woman. Tesoro della corona, the brand's famous coat, appeared in shades of camel brown beside timeless shapes that endure over time.

Titled 1954, Max Mara's protagonists for its Fall/Winter 2021 collection are oversized bombers and thornproof jackets in super soft alpaca inspired by utility clothing. Quilted bombers and checkered suits made with graphic tartans follow suit, while other looks are composed of British kilts, oversized knitwear sweaters, wool jackets reminiscent of biker jackets, thick socks, and brown leather ankle boots.
