One of the special highlights of a special kind were the Underground Catwalks, which were organized by Alexander van Hessen and his Alternative Media & Events agency. Just last year van Hessen found some prominent business partner for his agency, Stefan Kretzschmar, known all over the world as “Handball Punk” - one of the best ever handball players of all times.

The “fruitful” result of this collaboration could be encountered during the Motorola Fashion Rock Night, during the Berlin Fashion Week which closed it’s doors few days ago.

Alex, Stefan, Ed Hardy and Motorola had called and over 700 guests followed their invite. One of the special highlights of this event were the fashion shows of the trend label Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier. During the event at Berlin’s Pulp Mansion Club, their current collections were shown.

The Ed Hardy fashion which is worn by many celebrities in the USA saw a crowd of illustious guests in Berlin as well. As part of all the celebrities we spotted the Rammstein guys, Campino of the Toten Hosen, Rudolph Schenker of the Scorpions, Max Buskohl and his band Empty Trash and the Ochsenknecht family.

There was a phantastic atmosphere in the club, one reason being the performances of the Jägermeister Wild Girls who showed up as Vampirellas, Pimp Girls or Stewardesses and presented funny erotic dances of the “New Burlesque” which was made popular by Dita von Teese.

Of course there was some music entertainment as well. We saw Stumpen of Knorkator and Ben Christo of the legendary Sisters of Mercy behind the turntables which were the guarantors for some real rock’n’roll party night. Obviously satisfied, organizer Alexander van Hessen pointed out the “we are very happy regarding this huge popularity of the event. Even during the fashion shows the visitors continued to party which is some proof that the overall concept works”.

It was the first edition of the Motorola Fashion Rock Night which will become some constant part of the Berlin days of fashion. The event was supported by Motostyles, which is Motorola’s platform for new, unique and surprising styles in music, fashion and faces.

Alexander van Hessen’s events have always been some highlight of Berlin Fashion Week because the party always played some important role besides of the fashion that was shown and also the unique locations lifted the events our of the fashion week monotony.

Neither Zac Posen whose show started quite late that night - which made it quite impossible to be on time for the fashion rock night, nor the Agent Provocateur party which was taking place at the same time could affect the event, as the huge number of guests proved which partied till the morning hours of the next Berlin Fashion Week day.
