New Designer Shoe Maker to Open at Las Vegas WSA Show
When she was a little girl she always wanted to be a doctor. And she did. Dr. Arletha Anderson built a successful private medical practice in Michigan. But, she also always wanted to be a designer. Hats, jewelry, and shoes. Night after night, dream after dream, they came; images of shoes, shoes, and more shoes. Then, all the classes, training, and that workshop in her home’s garage. She began making shoes two years ago. Then one night after one of those “shoe dreams” she saw something different, something new and Twinkle Toes Shoes was born. Every night after work she would cut, and shape, and create these shoes she imagined for women and children.
Now, after two years she’s ready to let the world what see has seen; Twinkle Toes Shoes. Dr. Anderson will be showing her creations at this upcoming World Shoe Association (WSA) Show in Las Vegas, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, February 12th through the 14th. Twinkle Toes Shoes is indeed different. Dr. Anderson has created a variety of sandals and thongs with images of human feet. Foot colors are representative of all ethnic groups, beige, light brown, brown, and so-called red and yellow. She also uses a variety of real toe nail colors, and even real toe jewelry. It’s an amazing look. And, she even has a company motto, “WalkAMileinMyShoes”.
Children’s shoes have straps for security and all shoes are done in canvas, with silk lining. After this year’s WSA Show Dr. Anderson plans on many other models all with her trademarked, copyrighted, signature foot design available in the five basic colors. Her web site is also something special. It will actually allow customers to “design your own shoes” by choosing the shoe design, foot color, nail color, and a choice of toe jewelry. Someday, the designer wants to offer more options such as graphics on the big toe such as a smiley face, American flag, even a customer’s child’s face.
It looks like we have a new American shoe designer on the way. Dr. Anderson has even created a special pair of Twinkle Toes Shoes just for Oprah Winfrey, hoping to get a chance to be on the popular women’s TV program.
