Following the trend of luxury fashion brands moving towards a more sustainable means, Prada's new Pre-Fall 2021 collection debuts its line of organic denim pieces. As the sustainability movement continues to spread to every corner of life, the fashion industry has found its entrance in recent years. Prada's new collection follows a number of brands that, if they weren't already promoting eco-friendly fashion, launched new efforts to curb their impact on the environment in honor of Earth Day last month.

The collection uses certified 100% Global Organic Textile Standard cotton that has been harvested from an organic farm that minimizes its impact on the environment by avoiding fertilizers and pesticides. The brand then uses an "Acquasave" process to dye the denim that requires a below-average amount of water, saving 10 liters per meter of fabric. The collection is made exclusively from natural materials-a trait that reduces water waste and washing time and improves the brand's EIM (environmental impact measurement).

Since joining Miuccia Prada as co-Creative Director, Raf Simons has helped reinvent Prada's image to something more akin to the popular street-style looks of today's celebrities. This collection, which follows that concept well, boasts denim looks such as a casual romper as well as a matching bra top and wide-legged jeans. However, other non-denim looks like silver-studded garments and casual white dresses bring a more feminine touch to the overall series of pieces. In addition, each look is complemented by a series of branded accessories like crochet bags, terry cloth headpieces, or an elegant pair of white loafers.

The collection is available online and in stores now. See some of Prada's new organic denim pieces below.
