The show was followed by a folk music and dance performance by Al Tufalah Association for Culture and National Heritage and a poetry reading.

The events were staged as part of the Jordanian Cultural Week, which opened on Sunday and concludes today.

The three-day event is held under the patronage of Information Ministry Culture and National Heritage Sector assistant under-secretary for Culture and National Heritage Shaikha Mai bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.

Events lined up for today include a performance by Zaha Band for Children at the Salman Cultural Centre for Children, Gudaibiya, at 6pm.

At 7pm, there will be a lecture by poet Maha Al Atoom at the Bahrain Writers Association, Adliya, and at 8pm Dr Ahmed Al Tarana will speak about Jordanian culture at the Bahrain National Museum.

A Jordanian art and photography exhibition is also being held at the Art Centre from 8am to 2pm and 4pm to 8pm today.

The exhibition includes debut works of various Jordanian artists and photographers from the Jordanian National Photography Association. All events and activities are free and open to the public.
