Set to chic black and white floral décor and an eclectic mix of contemporary sexy beats, the WA Designer Collections had Perth’s glitterati mesmerised.
The showcase, at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre, was the perfect opportunity for Perth’s fashion elite to sit back and observe more than 30 spring/summer 08/09 collections in one dazzling evening of fashion.
Sipping champagne in the intimately lit lobby before the Designer Collections show felt more than just a little bit Hollywood- only the celebrities were the designers. As fashion A-listers rubbed shoulders with the most enthusiastic of Perth’s fashion savvy, everyone had their eyes open for that special glimpse of someone special - a designer sauntering through the crowd in anticipation of the night’s big show.
Beautiful white tiered seating greeted the audience, who were shocked to find a dramatic twist on the conventional runway formation. A strikingly decentralised catwalk lined one side of the room, with floral wall paper and large screen forming the backdrop.
